PUBLIC SPEAKING




1. Explain the definition of Public Speaking

    Public Speaking is an activity where a person speaks in front of an audience that listen to him / her ( Speaker ). Usually, the Speaker will convey some talk, or information with a specific purpose. 


2. Explain in details the purpose of Public Speaking

    A. To Persuade: Such as delivering a lecture where the speaker provide information (ex: Knowledge) that can affect the listeners, or the audience.
   B. To Inform: Provide information such as the current news, ex: A Reporter provides information straight from the crime scene
   C. To Entertain: Like a Speaker who does a Stand Up Comedy has the aim to entertain their audience with a fun topic.


3. Explain the detail every aspect/part of Public Speaking

    A. Speaker: Must be able to know the purpose of a speech goal that they will talk about in front of the audience. Also, the material, the content, and the meaning of purpose that they will inform.
    B. Listener: Good listeners analyze in advance who our listeners just adjust as to what kind of material that we will convey.
    C. Medium or Media: Can use a various media such as Audiovisual to make it easier for material to be delivered, and understand by the audience.
    D. Feedback: The speaker must certainly see if their speech gets a feedback. Ex: The audience will nodding their head, or laughing as a proof that what the speech delivering is understood by the audience.


4. Give me 5 difference between Regular Conversation and Public Speaking

   1. - RC: Can be done at least by 2 people only. 
       - PS: Performed by a Speaker in a front of large audience.
   2. - RC: Use a formal, or Informal language depending on who someone's talking to.
       - PS: Using more formal language.
   3. - RC: Unstructured.
       - PS: Has a Structure.
   4. - RC: Can have a variety topics in one conversation.
       - PS: Tends to focus on conveying the main topic to the audience.
   5. - RC: Find out the Feedback directly.
       - PS: There is the process until the Speaker knows they get the Feedback.
